When does OSU give scholarship awards?

I applied 9/24 according to the website. I know that admission decisions aren’t made until December. Will the scholarship awards come with the admissions decision, or will they come in like, April?
Also, if you meet the requirements for the honors program, are you basically in? Or is the minimum the “we won’t even consider you unless you meet this”?
I have a 1360 SAT (OSU Honors is a 1340) and a 31 ACT (OSU Honors is a 30). Will I make it into honors?

I’m OOS if that matters for any of this.
Thank you!

Last year son applied late September and was accepted December 9th. He received his scholarship awards at the end of January. Scored a 30 ACT and was placed into the Scholars Program.

would think sometime after FAFSA deadline…dd won Medalist and Distinguished and didn’t hear about either until late March. You will get Maximus notification in Feb? as essay comp dates are set.

Doesn’t FAFSA effect merit aid? Why would the filing of FAFSA effect scholarship awards?

My post should read that FAFSA effects “need” based aid. I believe scholarships are considered “merit” based aid and can be awarded without regard to the students financial need/income.

my thought was that the number of “need” based might determine amount available for “merit” awards

I could be wrong but I have never heard of a college first giving out need based aid and then using whatever is left over for merit scholarships. Of course there is always an exception to the rule. Did you read this somewhere?
