When does the interviewer find out about your decision?

<p>I had an alumni interview (information session) last month, but I'm curious to know if he ever finds out whether or not I have been accepted/rejected. If so, when?</p>

<p>He emailed me about a week ago asking me if I'd heard any news from Cornell, and I told him that I didn't. He then responded with a very ambiguous, "The best things happen when you least expect it."</p>

<p>As you probably can tell, this is leaving me with a glimmer of hope because Cornell is a huge reach school for me. With a 3.80/4.50 GPA and 2170 ACT score, I'm pretty much only going to be bumped up if I had amazing LOR's and essays. Very nervous.</p>

<p>Several days after you find out. There’s a black out period so no alum inadvertently is the one who informs the student. Plus, NCAA athletic rules have other limitations. Thus, alums find out 4-5 days after Ivy Day.</p>

<p>Of course, if accepted, you’re free to call the interviewer and tell him the good news.</p>

<p>But his note was just a polite quip: he knows nothing at this point.</p>

<p>I think I inadvertently ran into a PDF about the Alumni during decision time. For ED, the alumni found out the Monday after notifications went out. I can’t remember if it’s the same for RD or not.</p>

<p>I contacted my interviewer to let him know about my likely letter, and he told me that they wouldn’t get information about decisions until early april</p>
