When does the UCs ask for the transcript from the school?

Hi:
UCs did not ask for transcripts along the common app. When do they ask for the transcripts from the school? Do they select purely on the self-reported scores and ask only if the student is selected?

After you’re accepted by the school and have sent in your SIR(which won’t happen until around early March-ish).

UC’s will only ask for transcripts at the end of Senior year upon enrolling. UC’s also do not use the common app since they have their own UC application. They select based on self-reported grades and official test scores, essays and EC’s. If there are any discrepancies between the final transcript and the self-reported grades/test scores, this could be cause for your admission to be rescinded.

UC davis asked for my transcript last week. I took a gap year though so I’m actually graduated already
