When does UC Irvine start sending rejection letters out?

Anyone hear of any rejections so far from UCI? I’m feeling a bit antsy myself, seeing that everyone I know got acceptances, and I haven’t got mine back…

Sent from my iPod touch using TapaTalk

I was just rejected. kind of surprised, I thought I had a much better chance of getting in with the amount of ap’s I’ve taken

I’m guessing waitlists/rejections are getting sent out today because I just got rejected too.
It was one of my top choices but oh well, at least I got into UCSB and my overall college decision will be easier. The 2nd tier was as far as I could have went with my GPA. I’m satisfied.

Congrats to whoever got in. :)

I can’t tell if I was rejected…What did your status say? Mine changed from “being evaluated” to “your undergraduate application is inactive.” Is that what everyone who was rejected says? I can’t believe I didn’t get in to any state schools…this process has been eye-opening

People from my school have been getting rejections ):

rejected. 10char

From what I’ve seen, UCs could care less about AP. Yes they say they look at rigor of classes but it seems like a load of bs to me. A lot of people who took 2 or less got in with a mediocre gpa.

rejected :(

I know only one person who was accepted to uci today, so it might still be mixed right now with their deisions

Wow, I got rejected oO totally surprised haha. It was my safety… CC here I come --

Wait listed here. Since when did UCI get so competitive?

Lolz. Rejected from my safety

I just seems so hard to figure out what these uc’s want us to do. take more challenging classes, or take classes we know we’ll get a’s in? or do we focus on ec’s more? I know they want all three, but even people who are well above uci’s averages and have stellar ec’s still didn’t even get in.

They seem to choose randomly. It’s like a lottery…

and I think the whole “they don’t choose people who have higher stats because they’d most likely not go there” argument is ridiculous. Doesn’t a school what the best possible students? There’s no way of knowing that they wouldn’t go there. If only they could tell us why we were rejected…

My guess is that they’re accepting more out of state applicants to get more money in the door.

I agree with socaguy they’re only interested on getting more money.

@SoCAGuy it’s sad, but true. unfortunately, some of the brightest kids aren’t getting what they deserve for that reason
