When does UCF begin notification of admissions decisions for summer/fall 2008?

Seiclan and jetsx13 CONGRATULATIONS!!!

And GO Knights! I can't believe I'm about to join the horde ... such a horde person I'm not. <g> But I have my PONCHO! Too bad I don't have my lightning rod ... <g></g></g>

Zebes, out the door

Apparently yesterday was the first wave of acceptances. We have since learned of four other friends that got in last night (all girls). Haven't heard of any rejections or deferrals yet. The three boys that we know had applied to UCF didn't hear yet because their files were not complete yet. All were still missing the hs transcripts. Funny, the girls all went and requested the transcripts be sent on the very first day of the school year whereas all the boys waited a week to ten days!

Seiclan, congrads on your daughters acceptance. Our D just loves the place and I don't think there are many better places in Florida to be at.

We are also happy for all of you as you have been a appreciated and consistent contributor here.

jetsx13 CONGRATULATIONS!!!

What great news, I'm convinced that UCF is the place to be.

Our D and her suitemates along with some others on the floor have painted themselves up and are already over tailgating at the game. Since there is no car driving they had to walk over, but they wanted to get there early. It's also her B'day today and she gets to celebrate with the game and they are having a party for her tonight. She loves UCF and it doesn't get much better than watching your team play Texas on your B'day. On the academic side she loves her classes except for the one 400 person lecture. The instructor also has them watch 4 hours of movies a week which she says are a bit boring.

Don't forget to do the housing signup.

The housing website won't allow us to do the application until December:

Summer 2008/Fall 2008 Housing
Housing will be available for freshmen, transfer, and graduate students on the Orlando Main Campus and at the Rosen College of Hospitality Management Campus for summer 2008 and fall 2008. Application instructions will be available in December 2007.

I hope that they open up the applications sooner though.

Thanks for the warm welcome guys. Great game today, I wish we could of pulled it out though.

Out of curiosity, does anybody know about rejections or deferrals? Everyone I have asked gain acceptance into UCF.

hey,Seiclan.if you don't mind me asking, what was your D's stats?

tomatoking - here is the link to her stats profile:
<a href="http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/profiles/member_stat_view.html?user_id=43235%5B/url%5D">http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/profiles/member_stat_view.html?user_id=43235</a></p>

Congratulations! You have been offered admission to UCF for the Fall 2008 term.

W00T!!!!!!

Congrats fabi0ita welcome to the UCF community!

seiclan - I checked out your D's stats. My daughter was also accepted on 9/14, goes to a private school (students in class 133) in South Florida and is in the marching band (clarinet). Maybe our girls will meet next year! Is your daughter planning to join the Marching Knights next year?

You know, we really never discussed marching band for college. She played flute in her schools Marching and Pep bands the past three years and this year she is playing in the Pit (Percussion part of Marching Band that dosen't actually march..I think she plays the gloockenspiel?). Most of her friends are band or other fine arts kids (dance team etc)Maybe our girls will meet up! Which school is your daughter graduating?

She is graduating from The King's Academy in West Palm Beach. How about your D?

North Broward Prep in Coconut Creek.

I must say, its a relief knowing I got into UCF so early. I look forward to having, hopefully, a nice stress-free senior year. We better beat Memphis this weekend!

My D feels the same. We're going up to the game this weekend. Can't wait to check out the new stadium.

You'll get a free bottle of water as you pass through the gates. UCF's being hit hard about not having the water fountains and running out of bottled water. And at $3.00 a pop ... I filled mine in the bathroom sink once.

zebes

The Big Envelope came in today's mail (exactly one week after the online notification) with a welcoming "Congratulations" on the outside!
