Someone told me that by now they have already decided on half of the freshman population... The thing I'm worried about mostly is this 9 weeks.. I did really well for my first 9 weeks (4 a's 2 b's) but i've already effed up this 9 weeks and i'm thinking because of it my semester grades are going to be like 2 a's and 4 b's because of it :(
Our 1st semester technically ends January 17th and I really don't want them to see those grades.. I wish they could just see my first 9 weeks grades.. Anybody have any idea on when they finish making their decision? I'm just super worried now :(

They don't look at your senior year grades, with the exception of your final transcripts after you graduate (if you're accepted), from what I understand.

oh wow seriously?
hmm
so if you're accepted then they go back and look at your final transcripts to make sure you didn't like fail out or anything?
Do you know how harsh they are about that? My uw gpa is a 3.65 w 4.8 (ib).. so do you think if i let my gpa drop a bit to maybe like a 3.3 they'd un-accept me?

I think a few more B's would be fine...don't think they'd un-accept you over that. At least I hope not...I've been getting straight A's this year (working my butt off) in 6 AP classes so I can graduate with a really good class rank... but I fully cannot wait until next semester, when I'll officially allow myself to get a B in AP Lit (hate that class). I think if you failed or got a lot of D's they might do something.

Unless you start getting all C's and B's, they wont rescind anything

so basically i had 4 a's 2 b's my first 9 weeks
and that didn't count for shyt.. so i can drop a few a's to b's (2 a's 4 b's) and they won't really care because they're not even going to see it.. because i sent in my transcript back in october?
do i have that correct?

i hope so..because thats kind of awesome then.. i don't have to worry about working my ass off in ib to get my gpa as high as possible..

Beware of senioritis.

If you don't get the points to graduate in IB, you don't graduate. You'll need your PE requirement, etc.

yeah i know
I mean i'm not going to slack off THAT much to the point where I don't even get my ib diploma.

lol a couple of my friends here couldn't register for spring classes because they didn't send in their final high school transcripts ;)

The hold said "Your admission to the University of Florida is not final..."
lol even after a semester of classes!
Good stuff.

Good luck to all applying! UF rocks!
