me too, tomorrow I get off from school early so hopefully I see that admissions packet when I come home

I’m from LA and my mail comes around 12pm every day…but I won’t get home until around 4:30 :(

Does anyone have any idea how long it would take for priority mail to get from LA to San Francisco? I’m trying to prepare myself… USC is my top choice.

^my guess is that it shouldn’t take longer than 2 days, but i’m estimating

Did anyone from Singapore receive an email from DHL?

Haha. I’m going crazy.
Why can’t they just email the damn letters!!!
Would they at least give a hint of the decision if I called them?
…Maybe if I used extortive methods…

going crazy here too!!! literally!
I’m willing to wait a little longer for my letter, but I just hope they don’t do waves. thats going to be a total bummer when some people get acceptance letters and I’d have to wait a week more for my rejection!
I doubt they’d tell you anything if you call… maybe you should use force! haha

EpitomeOfIdiocy, you’re already in. A DHL package = acceptance!

i’m a US citizen from taiwan and i didn’t get any email from DHL but i have two friends from my school that are both non-US citizens and they got the email. does this mean they got accepted, and i didnt?

To all of those asking if requests for information from the USC Financial Aid office are an indicator of admission, NO, they are not.

USC gathers financial aid information from all applicants who applied for financial aid. In past years, there were many applicants who were ultimately rejected who had received requests for additional financial aid information.

Another note: Financial aid packages will not be included with your acceptance package. Your financial aid package will arrive around the end of the first week of April if all of your applications and documents were submitted by their deadlines. If you missed deadlines, your package may be a bit later.

Hope to hear great news from the LA-area applicants tomorrow!

Hey guys, I’m an international applicant and I applied to USC for scholarship consideration (on 1st Dec).
Can you tell me how we, the international students, get notified about USC’s decisions? I didn’t understand from the previous posts.
Thanks and good luck to you all :)

^^ alamemom, you mentioned “your financial aid package will arrive around the end of the first week of april if all of your applications and documents were submitted by their deadlines.” Does this include the sibling college information sheet also? I haven’t done that yet (I have a twin sister who doesn’t know where she’s going yet) so I’m hoping that my failure to complete that so far will not delay my financial aid package unnecessarily.

No - just the CSS/Profile, FAFSA and tax return copies. In some cases, the sibling college information can’t be submitted until May 1st, and they know that.

Sucks having to wait for the decision when I ultimately have a <5% chance of getting in, but I’m still hoping for it :-p

^ USC’s admit rate this year is likely to be about 20% to 22%.

Anyone else completely unable to sleep/study/do homework? I wish the mail was already here!

I agree that receiving a package in the mail is much more exciting than opening an email, but for applicants in military families around the world mail is delivered via the USPS (no DHL packages) and takes seven to ten days to arrive from the states. That means nothing until at least March 30. Oh well, another week of uncertainty in what has to be the longest and slowest month of the school year. Good luck to everyone!

^me :), a lot of things are going on this week, including USC’s decision. I’m just hoping that I get an acceptance package tomorrow.

Will an acceptance package reach the Bay Area by today (Wednesday)? I used the USPS estimate link someone posted, and the estimate showed that such an envelope would arrive today.

Hoping for the best tomorrow!!! Oh, the agony that comes along with waiting hurts so much!
