You have to register first in order to log in

Well that settles that. Registering for housing means nothing.

Is there any other way we can find out if we got in or not??

Thank you JelloBiafra! I’m sorry about what happened, and now I feel like I might be joining you in a few days…

My application staus says, “Open (Still Deciding)”…do any of you all have the same message?

I will reiterate MrRager’s question…has anyone received an acceptance package in the Bay Area, specifically San Jose or Santa Clara county?

Also received a dhl from UM with no email beforehand. Also thought it was USC

Calling Alamemom & jazzshreddermom!

It appears acceptance packages and rejection letters have arrived at applicants’ homes in California. So as a California mom (Northern California), what can be deduced from this? As another mom posted, no news seems like bad news, but then again, rejection letters have been received as well, so maybe no news means an acceptance could still be on the way? Ugh!!!

I have been “listening” to all of you for months…this is my first post. (Alamemom - thank you for keeping our heads from exploding.)

Yes, USConnect is now working and I can log in. I am in Illinois and will not receive a package before tomorrow (if accepted). I see nothing different than in the days before acceptance.

Can someone who was accepted today tell us what they see when they log in? Wondering if this is a bad sign or if all back doors have been removed?

thanks - trying to be able to sleep

^You can rest easy. Several moms who have received acceptance packages in the mail for their seniors have said that their USConnect page looks exactly the same and that no “backdoor links” work for them either. It seems USC has closed down all the links and won’t be changing the USConnect page until 7 days after they mailed the decisions (at least according to a letter in the acceptance package). I’m also a NorCal mom and did not receive anything in the mail today.

ACCEPTED! I honestly can’t believe it! I’m so happy ![]()
I live in LA and my mom texted me while at school “Guess who’s going to be a trojan!” and attached a picture of “Welcome to the Trojan Family”!

I live in Southern CA now but I used to live in Northern CA. I do not believe that Priority Mail always gets to Northern CA in one day. As a matter of fact, I think it usually took TWO days, so don’t worry!

Thank you, Boyzrule. Today was an anxiety ridden day for many people, including me. When the site finally popped back open I didn’t know what to think about what I saw. I appreciate the summary you provided. We’ll have to see what tomorrow brings.

Lexatonis,

My name in the same breath as the great alamemom’s?! Dear me.

My only guess is that mail is a funny thing. Sometimes people in the same neighborhoods don’t get a letter mailed the same day, from the same place, ON THE SAME day. It happens. I believe it happened last year.

It’s also possible USC didn’t mail EVERYTHING yesterday, but we know that they mailed both rejections and acceptances. So it’s HIGHLY possible that they are doing so again today. We have no way of knowing if they mailed ALL of them. I doubt it.

Several people reported being told that decisions would go out BY April 1st. It’s highly likely that mailing will continue from now until then.

That’s my best guess.

Alamemom will likely say the same. But she’s smarter than me.

Could any of you that have been accepted post some some of your stats? I’m in Washington state and am freaking out.

I’m a NorCal mom as well and have seen no mention of anyone in Bay Area receiving a package today so far. When I had checked the USPS shipping estimate site for Priority Mail 8.5x11 envelope from USC to San Jose area, the delivery estimate said tomorrow, Thurs 24th.

Nothing arrived today. tomorrow? they send usps?

Ugh… I’m in Tennessee… Anyone have any idea when I will be getting any kind of letter, whether it be acceptance or rejection?

Nothing from USC in our Bay Area mailbox today…fingers crossed for tomorrow!

@jazzshreddermom,

I haven’t posted in a couple months, but I’ve been “popping in” to read the threads. You and alamemom are AMAZING!!!

You bring up an interesting (yet agonizing!) point that maybe not all decisions were mailed (either priority or regular mail) on the 22nd. Maybe Film Production majors will have to wait longer than everybody else as they have at some other schools! The theories are limitless at this time of year!

Thanks again for everything you and alamemom do for us anxious, prospective USC parents (and students of course!).
