When does USC's RD decisions come out?

In the “old” system, Spring admissions came out with the last wave of Fall admissions the last few days of March, and rejections followed a few days later. It remains to be seen if this year everything will go out at once (Fall acceptances, Spring admits, and rejections), or if there will be a gap. In other words: I dunno.

I have a feeling we will see LA-area acceptances tomorrow, but I had a feeling about last week, too  , so don’t listen to me. I am going to bump the link to the decisions thread tonight just in case. Watch for Internationals posting that they received a mysterious DHL email about something on its way from USC - that will be a sure sign.

Hoping to hear good news from ALL of you! BEST of luck   :)

Thanks for all of the updates alamemom. You do such a great job on this forum keeping us all informed, I’m always looking for your updates. Very impressive!

alamemom, for some reason I have this image of you hunched over a crystal ball, furiously shuffling tarot cards desperately trying to decided when to ignite the reeds that will produce either white or black smoke. ;)

Thanks for the effort.

alamemom, so you’re thinking that despite what a couple people have said about March 22 being the day decisions are sent, it will be tomorrow?
…I hope so; I live in Chicago and if they’re sent on the 22nd I’ll already be on Spring Break when I receive it.
The anticipation is killing me.

vinceh - you have it exactly right! (Are there hidden cameras here??? How did you know!?) Unfortunately the smoke seems to be a sickly green this year and cannot be deciphered… and all the crystal ball shows is a never-ending series of boring “chance” threads on the USC forum… yawn… I am ready for some excitement!

I had an excellent tip earlier this week about a Thursday mailing - though it certainly could have been delayed and shifted to next Tuesday. USC only promises “by April 1st,” so they have some flexibility.

In addition to the tarot cards and smoke, the telltale signs are the International getting DHL emails and that link Jazz/shreddermom posted on another thread - if someone is able to log in there… :)

No hidden cameras, but the secret microphones picked up what can only be described as “maniacal cackling”.

After years of “only” having two nephews apply to 'SC (both denied), I finally have my own “horse in the race” - his pacing is wearing a track into the carpets. Good luck to all.

Cant wait to hear back from them!

Let’s hope it’ll be released next week at the latest. I’m going to be in the Caribbean for break and I’d rather relax and have a good time instead of stressing over college decisions.

Good luck everybody!

I thought people were referencing scholarship decisions when they recently reported hearing the 22nd from USC (not admissions decisions).

After going back and forth from UCLA, UCSD and USC’s sites, I truly appreciate the USC site with the “true questions and excitement”. As a mom, it is extremely frustrating when these sites are used for questions like, “Did you take a nap, are you a boy or girl, etc”. It makes scanning so much more difficult.

Thank you Alemom and jazz/shreddermom for your quick replies. I know which answers to read immediately.

Same for me, except I’m in Cleveland. Leaving the 26th for spring break, so the letter/(hopefully fat packet!) would have to get here by the 25th. Not sure what time my flight is, but I might be able to stop by the post office on the 26th.

But I’m hoping alamemom’s hunch is right; they are sending them out around now.

Oh well, my neighbor is watching my mail and he could just call us if it comes. Worse comes to worse, I’m going to LA for spring break and plan on stopping by campus, so I’ll have to pop in the admissions office.

Good luck everyone!

I really hope the decisions are mailed tomorrow! I’m in California right now (I’ve been calling my dad constantly to see if anything shows up in the mail) and might stay a few extra days and visit campus if I get in. so so so tired of waiting.

Greetings - My daughter is dying to go to USC…we’re from the east coast and as soon as we visited campus, that was it. This discussion is really helpful. Can you tell me about spring admission? Her stats are right in there for USC so we’re hoping for the best but nervously! Wondering how spring admission is used? Is it something of a back-up? Your advice would be really helpful! Thanks.

This is my second time through the process with S2 and we have every finger crossed. S1 loves USC, as so many many do–which is why the moms here continue to post and help out. We really want to share the real USC with those who would love it too.

Good luck to everyone here. I have a feeling our answers will be here very soon. :)

We are in San Diego and I just got the mail…no letter :(

This is the best forum ever! and alamemon you are great!!! D is an international student. We are carefully following this forum anxious for news!!! nothing yet. Hope to receive DHL notice but nothing yet… the days are very longggggggggg
We visited last Fall. USC is gorgeous!

We are in Pasadena – next to Los Angeles. You all have me very nervously waiting for the mailman to come to see if there is an envelope of any kind in the mailbox. If they did mail yesterday, we should get it today. S applied RD to SCA.

Look at all of us “nervous moms” while our kids are at school checking out the site - lol. We live in southern California also and my mail comes in 1 hour! Will let you know!

I probably shouldn’t say thing but … hang in their folks! For many of you, it will be worth the wait.

I was on these threads last year, so I know how you all feel, the anticipation, the reading of every tea leaf. Smile at the great news this month of the Dornsife gift of $200 M to the College of Letters, Arts & Sciences. (My H is on faculty in the math dept and they are very pleased about that news.)

The end is in sight, it truly is. Take some time to relax, watch some of the other March Madness.

Ack! We live in SoCal and our mail is here–but no envelope from USC. Just thought I’d share that (miff-miff) news. Hang in there. And I’m glad to see the mom brigade checking in.
