It was $15 in my school to move in up to two days earlier.

Move-in: Aug 20th
1st day of classes: Aug 25th

You pay at my school, too, unless you're doing something for the school (a job, volunteering, research) that requires an early move-in.

It makes complete sense to me. It's to discourage people from showing up whenever they like and messing up the schedules of the people necessary to help them (office workers waiting around to give you keys, check you in, make sure you belong where you are, help you find things, whatever.) Things like moving in require work from people that aren't you, and it's good that there's one move-in day so they know what to expect and when.

We move in August 14th and start August 18th!!

august 24th I believe

I'm moving in August 22nd (non-freshmen move back in the 24th, or so I'm told), and classes start on the 25th.

Move in: Aug. 21st
Classes begin: Aug. 27th

Classes start August 25th and I'll move in either the 17th (If I make marching band) or the 20th.

arrive: 8/24
classes start: 9/2

Classes start on the 25th. Freshmen move in on the 21st, others on 22nd. I hope to move in on either the 20th because I have to be there for athletic training orientation at 9AM on the 22nd.
