<p>When exactly is the first day that the semester starts for the Fall 2009 year? Is there a certain date that freshmen must be on campus by? ie. to move in and get accustomed to the campus somewhat before classes begin. If someone could link me to the right place that answers this question I would very much appreciate it.<br>
I thought it would be easier figuring out when the school year starts next year.</p>

<p>The year starts the first day of your class. Or the first move-in day for dorms, which is like a week before beginning of instruction. They usually have things planned like Caltopia and other things.</p>

<p>Classes start Wed Aug 26.</p>
<p>Starting Sunday Aug 23, for about a week, there are a variety of events/things for you to do to get accustomed to campus. You have two days until instruction starts but the first week is pretty slow anyway so you’ll have plenty of time to get used to campus.</p>
