When/How do admissions decisions come out?

What day are admissions decisions released? Are they posted online/emailed to you? Or only by mail?

I know for ED, they said we would get our admissions decision on Dec. 15th, but most people checked on the 13th and found out online. I'm sure it will be similar for RD.

Is March 15 the date? Does anyone know when they came out last year?

mine came around mar 15th last year (rejection :( )

wait, is it march 15th for RD applicants? i could've sworn it was in april...

So can you check online? How so? And is it really that early? March 15? Wow

According to the "official" timeline, it says that decisions (and financial aid packages) will be mailed on April 1st. But I'm guessing that you'll find out before then too.

Can anyone else confirm that students will be notified mid-March regarding decisions. If yes, is it done my mail or online?

last year people got them in mid march

wow... they got their decisions march 9th

thats in a week

wow

Well, that was Olin. They found out first with an email. Everyone else found out around the 11th-12th it looks like.

why does WUSTL say April 1st on their website then?

they say stuff is mailed by april 1st, not that you get your decision on april 1st

Wow, that's very early, compared to the usual March 29! Sweet! I will keep checking the online page then...I had no idea they did online decisions so let me go investigate now...

MARCH 11-12?! i think i just puked a little in my mouth.

Puke? Er...1. Why did you apply, then? 2. Just because they post on the 11th doesn't mean you have to go check on the 11th

I think he/she is just nervous, not regretting the decision to apply.

Woah that's so soon!!! This is like on the status check online?

Yeah. It's a pain because you have to type in your last name, birthdate, AND SSN to access the status page.

That's better than having to dig through your email for randomly generated passwords though
