When/How do I get to pay for school??

<p>I've been doing a lot of things for school. signing up for orientation, getting my visa etc. except I haven't heard anything about the most important part: money. When and how do i get to pay, as in my tuition, room and food money and such?? I did send the school an email (i forgot exactly which department) but they gave me a number that I should call, but my phone's kind of gone haywire....any info you know would be very much appreciated.</p>

<p>All account activity is logged on your StudentCentral page: <a href=“http://studentcentral.unc.edu%5B/url%5D”>http://studentcentral.unc.edu</a><br>
under Cashier Services - “Billing Statement” so you can keep tabs of what’s happening and on what date. All the charges, including tuition, rooming, food, etc. will be mailed to you in one big bill sometime late this month/early August.
If you’re expecting scholarships and/or financial aid funds to cover some costs, you’re to fill out the back of the form to defer the payment until September because it takes that long for the money to be applied.
Then in September you’ll be sent another bill with the difference taken from scholarships/aid - you pay what’s left over. </p>

<p>So, at first, I was planning on paying for the meal plan using my FA, but since that won’t be in my account until school starts, should I go ahead and pay for it with my own money?</p>

<p>You don’t need to - if you fill out the deferment form on the back of the tuition bill you can function as normal and pay the difference when FA clears on the accounts later in the year.</p>
