When I go to college, am I to show my high school diploma to them?

I'm going to be a first-time college student this fall, having just graduated high school. Since I got my high school diploma and arranged for my final transcript to be sent to the college I'm going to, I'm pretty much decided on what to do. Except for one thing:

The high school diploma. Do I provide a copy of it to the admissions office? When the final transcript comes into that office, do the admissions officers automatically get evidence that you got your diploma? How exactly does it work?

Your final transcript is sent from your hs upon completion of all graduation requirements. You don’t need to do anything other then verify they got the official final transcript.

Your diploma is meaningful to you, but your university doesn’t need to see it. Congratulations and best of luck in the fall!

No need for the diploma - the final transcript will show your status.

Thank you both!
