What do you want to do, and how are you going to manage to get there?

Potential Major/Minor (If applicable)
Potential Schools
Career
Why?

I'm flipping between Sociology and History (World/European) (OH, and as a Major/Minor thing... I may just double major =3=~). For school, I want to go to either UC Santa Barbara (Albeit for the sake of being near a good friend) or UC Santa Cruz (The trees and walking/biking paths have me won over <3). Oh, and I want to teach! I can't answer the 'why' yet. :P

Potential Major: Mathematics and Music double major
Potential School: Already been accepted
Career: Professor
Why: I’ve always seen viewed academic subjets through a strange lens that no one else seems to possess and I’d like to share the viewpoint. Also it means that I can act bat-crap crazy and no one would think anything of it.

An occupation that is enjoyable and lucrative, that is all I want. haha. Growing-up is painful. Those romantic ideas such as ‘save the world’ ‘doing something biggg’ tend to disappear. Not everyone can ‘do something big’. But every kid can dream of doing something big-that’s why childhood is so wonderful!

well I think I will be a physicist or something, assuming that I have a little bit talent. :)

Potential Major/Minor (If applicable):
Depends on what I accomplish in high school. Japanese or Korean, Drama or some sort of music.
Potential Schools:
Waseda, Meiji, Temple, Dartmouth, Cornell, Middlebury, Emory, NYU, Columbia, Barnard, Carnegie Mellon, or Berklee College of Music.
Career:
Actress, musician, songwriter in East Asia.
Why?
I love all the careers I listed above. I love music esp. because its practically international. You don’t need to speak the language to understand the meaning!
How I’m Getting There
I’m becoming fluent in Japanese (maybe Korean too) during high school, getting a modeling and a talent agency in the states, practicing guitar/piano/songwriting big time, and doing well in school. Lastly, never ever giving up on my dreams! :D

Potential Major/Minor: Political Science–>Law School
Potential Schools: American University, Skidmore, Union, GWU
Career: Lawyer
Why?:Family Tradition, but its one of the jobs where i can get to major in poli sci in undergrad, which is really my passion

Potential Major/Minor: History, History of Art and Architecture, possibly Italian, Russian, or Czech Studies, maybe Classics or Philosophy?
Potential Schools: Brown University Class of 2014
Career: Being a dilettante in everything
Why: I want to find what I’m good at

Career: Wall street Baron
Major: B.S. in Econ
School: U of C, NW, Harvard, Wharton, Princeton
Why: I want to buy a pool and fill it up with money and swim in it.

Get there through vicious cutthroating, competition, and blood and sweat hard work. Will, greed, and godlike intellect will be my bulwark against failure. You gotta love the upper middle class. RIch enough to invest enough resources in their kids to make them competitive against the rich. Poor enough to grant its kids insatiable greed.

Career: Teacher (preferably high school)
Major: French/Linguistics
School: Reed College
Why: I love French, I love teaching, why not do both at the same time?
More seriously, though, I want to be the teacher that changes a kid’s life, the one they’ll always remember. Basically, I want to inspire the same love for French in another kid as I found in myself a few years back, and set them on the same amazing journey through the language.

Potential Major: Chemistry (with a minor in Spanish)
Potential School: Hopefully MIT or UCL (University College London) for undergrad/ Harvard Medical for grad
Career: Pediatric Anesthesiologist
Why: I’ve always wanted to be pediatrician (love little kids!) but a general physician just seems too mundane and I can’t be surgeon because I don’t think I could ever cut people open, lol, and as an anesthesiologist, I’ll be the one person who will always stop the pain I’ve heard it’s one of the most stressful jobs that exist but I can take it! :p

major: international studies/affairs/relations
school: Emory or George Washington (fingers crossed)
career: work in an embassy (possibilities: French-speaking country or Indonesian embassy)

why: Relations b/w countries interest me, even though I will most likely be stamping visas. AH WELL

Major: History (with one of the following as a double major/minor: Irish Studies, Celtic Language, Political Science/International Relations, Social Work, Philosophy, Classical Archaeology) School: Many under consideration Career: “I believe careers are a 20th century invention, and I don’t want one” But Socialist Revolutionary will have to do Why? To eliminate poverty and bring about equality, albeit through the elimination of extreme affluence concentrated in a minority

Potential Major/Minor: BS/MS Aerospace Engineering, MBA?
Potential Schools: MIT '14
Career: Aerospace Engineer > Specialist, Management, or Wall Street (Investment Banking)
Why?: Pshh, watch a large cargo plane lift itself off the ground, a military fighter perform combat maneuvers, or a supersonic jet actually maintain supersonic speeds. Or even better, watch a space shuttle launch. I’d go into Wall Street only if I find myself getting pigeon-holed in a specific area of my field in which I’ve lost interest (meaning I’d pursue an MBA later on in life, if that, as opposed to right after getting my BS). I seek excitement in my life, and thus far I seem to find it in these fields.

If I had all the time in the world and everything went ideally, I’d go BS/MS/Ph.D Aerospace, BS/MS Physics > Air Force test and field pilot > DoD > NASA > Astronaut (Commander/Pilot or Mission Specialist) > build modes of travel sufficiently fast to travel our solar system round-trip in a timely manner > establish habitable and self-sustaining colonies off earth and kick ass at everything space related. Unfortunately, I plan on having a family, pursuing other interests, and living a life outside of my career doing other things I enjoy, all which I need to do within my life’s allowed time limit. Damn life expectancies and aging - they’re proving very restrictive to my goals and ambitions.

Potential Major: Math/CS Double Major to MS CS -> PhD CS + Math Eventual BS in Physics or BBA in Acquisitions
Potential Schools: MIT 16, Harvard 16, Columbia 16, Carnegie Mellon 16, Stanford 16, Caltech 16, Virginia Tech 16, George Mason 15
Career: Researcher/Business Owner. Math and Computer Science is pretty much what I do all the time in my free time. It gets pretty intense, but I’ve done it all my math life(about 9 years now). From there and being a professor, I plan to spend my time proving math theorems and attempting to solve unsolved problems. If I am tired of that, I will go into Government work like my dad.
