Cornell is prettty loose about Cornell Days, it's not an "admit weekend" like Dartmouth's Dimensions program. It's basically an open house for admitted students. You can pick and choose what you want to do and how long you want to stay for... you can sit in on classes, stay with an overnight host, attend discussions by college strictly geared to admitted students, etc. If you're lucky, maybe your host will take you to a party! Most people attend on the weekends and only stay over for one night. You will only be "hosted" overnight for one night. If you want to stay longer, you have to make other arrangements.

hm are u allowed to go to parties? cuz when i visited back in october there were like if we catch u at a party u are NOT getting into Cornell.

Does anyone know if it's weird to go with parents or not? Like do I go up with my parents and they tour campus with me, and then they stay at a hotel while I stay overnight with someone? Or do they just drive me up and then drop me off somewhere? Ahh I'm so nervous, I don't want to look silly sitting in on classes with my mom or anything, how does that work?

I'm sure it won't matter if you're there with your parents. You'll definately see a fair amount of people w/ there parents during Cornell Days. (even sitting with them during classes)

Go with your parents. Most people do, I think. It'll be better to have someone there to drive/give advice/talk with. You can stay with a host (perhaps me, as I am in the Red Carpet Society) and they can show you around without your parents.

Oh very cool. If I go with a host, where do my parents go? Do they just drop me off at some meeting place and then stay at a hotel?

Also, if I have a friend at Cornell, could that person possibly be my "host?" Because she invited me up to stay with her in April, so could I maybe do my visiting day and then just stay over with her?

Not that I wouldn't want you as my host, because of course I would! Hehe, I was just wondering if the above would be at all possible.
