When is it too late to change your mind?

UTSA is also close to my house and I have automatic acceptance. My sister applied there as a second semester transfer and got scholarships, with an unmet need of $2k. I qualify for more scholarships there, so if I took off fall semester and worked I could most likely pay for second semester as a freshman. And I could commute from home. Because of AP and dual credit, I am able to enter in most universities as either a second semester freshman or a first semester sophomore regardless. I wouldn’t be behind on my course work at all.

Plus I already have a good, flexible job in SA and just got promoted. I wouldn’t have to stress over work or anything.

UTSA sounds like a great option. You don’t want stress to distract you from your studies.

UTSA sounds very good. I think that is the way to go: you keep your job, live at home, dad is helpful in keeping mom at bay. You can ask for book scholarship, etc from the school. Also, check to see if your job has any benefits for students.

Wow years ago I dated a girl just like you. The only difference is her little sister lived with her. She also went to UNT and work a partime job. She married a guy she met in college and has a great career. I think UTSA is going to be your best bet. Stay focused and understand you have to take care of you first. The fact that your mom thinks you should be helping her and paying your way thru school is just crazy. She will never learn to walk if you continue to be her wheelchair. Tell her you are own your own and no help is coming from you. Best wishes to you.
