I know, I know!! I am trying to make doctor and dental appointments during the winter break. It looks like the students are out from Dec. 17th until the start date of Jan. 12th.

Does anyone know approximately when the students can report to their dorms for spring semester?

Another question: Can the students have their dental cleanings at UA? May be that will be my solution.

I usually schedule our kids’ dental cleanings for the first week in January and then again in July.

You could have dental cleanings in T-town, but I don’t think on Bama’s campus. The dental school is in B’ham.

I don’t know when the dorms will re-open…but probably 1-3 days before the first day of spring semester.

I know that kids who are “new” students will be there a couple of days early for their orientation and such. So, the dorms would be open at that point.

I like the new start dates of Jan 12…that means Bama is expecting more BCS National Championships!!! :)

Alabama is one of the preseason favorites to won it all as their recruiting classes have been stellar. I expect them to be ranked in the top 5, which shows tremendous respect as they will have a new and inexperienced QB at the helm. Rolltide.com is a great resource.

Thank you MABama. I will start reading Rolltide.com. We have followed Bama football for 2 years now, ever since my D became interested in Bama. Roll Tide!! and can’t wait for move-in.

Classes begin on Wednesday Jan 11th. The BCS National Championship game will be Monday Jan 9th in New Orleans. This will give the kids that go, a day to get back from the game before classes.

I’d imagine the dorms will be open on Sunday Jan 8th. With most kids moving back in either that day or on Monday the 9th.

If you’re not planning on going to the game then you’ll definitely want to be on campus to watch it as it will be a huge party atmosphere.

This of course implies Bama will be in the game, which isn’t a definite except in my mind :-)

tidesports.com is the sports section of the Tuscaloosa News. Great free website to read up on the football team and other Bama sports. Cecil Hurt is a long time writer and the best in the business when it comes to covering UA sports.
