When is the best day to visit Pitzer?

I will be in LA during Spring break (for high schools) and will definitely be visiting Pitzer and CMC. I was wondering when the best day to visit is. When is the student population most active, when are they coming in and out of classes, congregating outside, when does it feel like a normal day? I assume not any day during the weekend because no classes are held right? Thank you for any input.
P.S, not really related to the question above, but has anyone else who applied to either school also apply to the other (CMC and Pitzer) I know they are almost polar opposites, but they both appeal to me in different ways.

Hey cardshark,

Any weekday you will see Pitzer students going from class to class, etc. From my experience, one of the biggest factors of how active the campus seems is weather; if it is nice out, students will be much more visible. If for some reason it is raining, students tend to only trek outside when they need to.

Fridays can also be quiet in the mornings, as their tend to be few early friday classes. However, mid-afternoon Friday can be the busiest time on campus.

Honestly, you will get a sense of Pitzer one way or another; there is no best day, they simply offer different profiles.

As for your question on CMC and Pitzer, there are certainly students that do both (and aspects of CMC appeal to me as well), but generally one school will be the better “fit.” Remember that social interactions/institutional culture can be just as important as the actual academic departments.

Thank you! yes that’s exactly what I mean, I’m sure I’ll have a similar academic experience and will be able to take advantage of the consortium, but my type of social sphere and “fit” seems to be in the center of both Pitzer and CMC. But I’m sure I’ll be able to find my actual fit once I visit, thanks again for the response.
