When is the earliest you can apply to Haas?

Pardon me if I'm making some mistakes because I'm intl so I'm not super familiar with the US education system, but when is the earliest you can apply to Haas?
I have quite a lot of course credits (Math, English, Econ) so I may be exempted from taking some prereq courses, and I'm planning to speed up my graduation to about 3 or 3.5 years.

Since Haas is supposedly a 2 year program and you apply during sophomore year to enter during your junior year, I was wondering whether it's possible to get in before junior year, or what? Need help with this, thanks for any clarification!

there are certain classes that Haas wants you to take here on campus. I have not heard about people applying freshman year.

you may only apply to haas once… so if you don’t get in your freshman year, you can’t apply again.

also, when you apply, you will have NO BERKELEY GRADES… at by the time they do review, you’ll only have 1 sem… which doesn’t really show anything.

Not to mention, haas only counts ECs done after high school. So when you apply, you won’t have any real ECs to speak of :S Not to mention, you haven’t even taken any business courses or prereqs or explored anything when you apply…

I’ve never heard of freshman applying either… simply because it’s just not worth it.
If you want to graduate early. Take upper div haas courses early. You don’t need to be in the college in order to take its courses :)

Thanks StarryMuffin, good to know.

I’m not really keen on applying during freshman year so I just needed to confirm I can graduate earlier even if I apply during sophomore…which means I’ll just take more upper div classes earlier I guess.

Hey Sputnik, it is easy to graduate in 3 years with a business major. Trust me, I only have 2 classes left for senior year. I could’ve taken the classes earlier. The major is not very demanding and I see that a lot of the single business majors can graduate early if they plan things out early on.

Haas accepts transfer applicants only. You may transfer from within Berkeley (current Cal student) or from a community college (or other colleges).

For transfer admission information, including required courses, see [Admissions for Transfer Students, Undergraduate Program - Haas School of Business, UC Berkeley](<a href=“Admissions - Undergraduate Program - Berkeley Haas”>Admissions - Undergraduate Program - Berkeley Haas)
