hmmm wonder what the exact announcement is going to look like?
Like will it be just a sentence saying reject/deffered/accepted, or like a whole page of non-sense?

i've heard that if you get in you get a dancing bulldog and fireworks...?

If the acceptance announcement is anything like the announcement I received last year, you'll login to find a bulldog graphic that says "Welcome to the Class of 2010." If your speakers are turned on (mine weren't), you'll hear "Bulldog! Bulldog! Bow wow wow, Eli Yale!" After a few seconds, this page redirects to an online version of your acceptance letter.

Those who are deferred or rejected see only the letter.

yes, you're right david. i love you david, marry me?

haha anyways, yes. it's a page with Handsome Dan. then the letter and then the admit site.

So for me it will be: go to log in page, make sure sound is up, put mouse over decision link, close eyes, press button, hear no sound, disappointment, open eyes, see that I didn't click in the right place, click it for real to find "We regret to inform you that you have been rejected".

Come on, ColorfulPig, think positive! For me, if all goes well, I will be dashing to the library between periods to elbow inferior Freshman away from the computers and check the decision site. Type Eli ID, freeze in trepidation, click....dance around the office yelling "The Bulldog is singing! The Bulldog is singing!"

Eh, after that point I might be incarcerated for insanity and Yale will rescind admittance. At least I'll have my moments of glory :D

Come on, colorfulpig! Let's be optimistic and leave the self-deprecating for later!

I would be fearful of threatening Yale. Yale knows all and is all. Yale is the beginning and the end...

Beware of Yale.

Oh my gosh! Does that include daylight savings and eastern standard time? Just kidding, a few hours aren't going to kill you, considering you've waited months. Good luck.

ugh i hate not knowing when and where i'll be when yale admissions comes out. I'll be doing totally different things on Thursday and Friday, and I must be prepared by constantly being in close proximity to a computer.

I check the online decisions link regularly even though I know it's not going to be there until Friday. I guess I'm just practicing for the real time.

wow.
i just realized how much nervouser i get after reading everyone's posts here.
i need to just abstinence from CC for a few days.
yes, abstinence.

I am getting so nervous now just reading these threads...

So when is the exact time?!? Is it December 15th at 5p.m. Eastern Time?? Didn't someone mention that last year it came out a day early?

I really REALLY hope it will be the 15th, I cant wait any longer!!! Maybe its an evil plan to see who can wait for their decision the longest without passing out, and then they accept those..... or not because appearantly they dont really want to get in.... ar their are just really cruel.... or very bad at planning....

see i'm soooo freaking out! Yale PLEASE stop torturing us and tell us wether we got in!!!

I just called admissions and the woman I spoke to assured me that "it will definitely not be any earlier than the night of the 16th."

.................................great.

I don't get why it's such a big deal to wait an extra day. People should stop calling admissions officers for serious. They're gonna despise us all. Hah.

Yale sent me an email last friday that said it will be posted on friday. Is it a good sign that i got the email or does everyone get one?

[In whiny Cartman voice] But Mommmm, Harvard gets theirs todayyyyy!

ivyguy, everyone got one.

god i hope its tomorrow like last year
