<p>Classes start tomorrow.</p>
<p>Son does not even have a schedule yet! He is a freshman and went in with32 credits but due to some weird reason they still have not figured how to help him. When he goes into the system he cannot even register for open ge classes.</p>
<p>I was under the impression classes start wednesday…which meant he still had time to find courses.</p>
<p>Anyone here hear of something like this happening. He is in viterbi.</p>
<p>I hope he gets it sorted out ASAP. Hopefully he went in to talk to an academic adviser first thing this morning.</p>
<p>Classes start today. He needs to call or go visit in person his academic advisor ASAP!!</p>
<p>what was he doing on wed/thurs/fri? those are the days when students are supposed to get last-minute things cleared up if there are any problems.</p>
<p>Advising had told him they will sort it out and let him know. He emailed them to follow up. I guess he thought they are busy handling tons of other kids as well. He could not even register for a non D course online! So come Friday then he started to really worry and all this while I am thinking classes start Wednesday. So even I did not dwell on it. We are 8000 miles away and did not want to bug him over it. Lesson learnt.</p>
<p>It’s not the end of the world, the first week or two and even up to three are always people shuffling around adding/dropping classes. So even if he misses the first 1-3 classes he should be able to manage.</p>
<p>missing the first couple days aren’t a big deal.</p>
<p>just make sure he enrolls as soon asap (hopefully tmrw) and in the future always do these things in person if it’s urgent.</p>
