When can we know whether we hate Dartmouth or love it?
Is it by mail or internet???

both
internet - march 30th @ 5pm est.

goodluck

schlaraffenland--nice twist on the verdict

do they email you or do you have to log in?

you have to log in with your password and pin.

I think you need to go to www.dartmouth.edu/bannerstudent , just in case anyone lost that info.

Best of luck to everyone, I hope that the 30th will yield good news for you, and if not, remember that Dartmouth is just one of many spectacular institutions in this country. I'm especially interested to see how my friend from my über-noncompetitive public HS fares--he's applying to Dartmouth and Cornell, among others.

Last year I was not able to access bannerstudent with a proxy (the website is highly secured), and I didn't try logging in with an open account from my college because it's almost negative on balance. It was until April 2nd when my father phoned me that a DHL package arrived home and was labeled Dartmouth that I knew I got in.

So today i receive this email:

Greetings from Hanover!

This is just a brief note to inform you that we will be mailing our
admissions decision letters via regular mail on Thursday, March 30. Also,
an electronic version of your decision letter will be posted online to
the Dartmouth Student Information System after 5 pm Eastern Standard
Time on March 30. The online decision letter will be available until
April 7th.

You can check your status and/or retrieve your username and password
here:

If you are unable to access your decision online, you may call our
office on or after April 3rd at 603-646-2875 to receive the decision over
the phone. Decisions will be released only to the applicant.

Sincere regards,

The Admissions Committee
Dartmouth College

yeh i got this too...does this mean we're especially sexy? hopefully ;)

Wishes she was especially sexy.
I got that notice, as well. Though, I've got to say I hate waiting ^.^;;;. It's driving me crazy.

I got it too. We're all really HOT ;)

Dances around.

Okay, maybe not.
I'll save all the dancing (and spare anyone the sight of the horribleness of it XP) for if I get accepted. Of course, that's probably not going to happen ^.^;;. I was shocked that I was deferred ED and not rejected.

i love their "greetings from hanover" openings

I agree, the top line was really cute

Indeedy, it is. It would be more awesome, though, if it said something like: "Greetings from Hanover! You've been accepted!"

but it also says "via regular mail." Wouldn't the accepted ones get their decisions Fedexed or overnight? I'm wondering if anyone got a slightly different version with "via Fedex" or something.

Darn, I think everyone's getting them.

All are labeled via regular mail.

Yeah, acceptance or not, it's not Fedexed. Well, it wasn't for other colleges that I was accepted to, at least. Maybe it's different with Dartmouth. I guess we'll see in a couple days. ^.^;
