<p>I thought the deadline was January 15th? I was bummed because I had missed it but I got an email today that said "The application deadline of February 1 will be here soon. We hope you take advantage of the exciting opportunity to study at Rensselaer. Apply now using your very own Candidate's Choice Application." But when I clicked the link to the application, it again said 1/15 was the deadline. Can someone clarify? I would love to apply.</p>

<p>Candidate’s Choice applicants were given an extension to Feb 1st. So you can still apply if you want to.</p>
<p>Cool…I don’t even know how I qualified for Candidate’s Choice. Does that mean I can’t apply through the CommonApp? I emailed admissions today, and they said I COULD but I doubt it would actually go through. Wouldn’t the CommonApp block me from applying since it’s past the deadline? If anything, I’m afraid they’ll take my money and not look at my app.</p>
<p>Some schools accept the common application for a short period after the specified deadline. I would try submitting the commonapp and if it isn’t blocked, then you’re fine. If it is, just do the candidate’s choice app.</p>
