When is the spring orientation thing for incoming freshmen?

Does anyone know when/what this is? In the acceptance letter, they mentioned something about a weekend or a few days in April when incoming freshmen can go up....

bump .

Cornell Days. Don't worry about it, they will send you more information about it. My advice would be to not stay with your parents and definitely with a host. My personal experience with cornell days last year was that it was a waste of time but i made the mistake of staying in the statler hotel instead of with a student host. I heard from people that stayed with hosts that they had fun going to parties with them and got to experience some cornell life. There really isn't anything that goes on other than that besides some redundant information sessions and tours that aren't worth going to. So if you are going definitely stay with a student and you will probably have a good time.

Go to Cornell Days. Pretty much all the questions going around on this forum can be answered in one visit. It helped me figure out which dorm to live it, and even what classes to take freshmen year. And what you find out during Cornell Days is different from taking that campus tour. Very different.

You can also arrange an overnight visit with a current freshman. I'm not sure how it works in other colleges, but ILR has an ILR Ambassadors program where freshman volunteer to show a prospective/incoming freshman around the campus, take them to classes, etc. You're gonna have to sleep on their floor though.

Tun, when is the ILR's diversity weekend for this year... hehe i can't wait!!
plus i know a friend who is in ILR freshmen this year, she said she can host me.. can she do that??? would it be possible??
