USC says their application is due Dec 1 for scholarship consideration
Is that Nov 30 11:59PM or Dec 1 11:59PM?

To my understanding, it is Dec 1 11:59. So I can turn it in tomorrow morning. Am I mistaken?

You are correct. The deadline is December 1st by 11:59 pm. Yes, you can submit tomorrow morning, December 1st.

S forgot about this issue. He submitted his CA application today and also ordered the SAT scores sent today too.

We realize that the scores will not be sent over by 12/1. Do you think it is a big deal? Is this also considered somewhat soft deadlines?

The deadline for the application is firm, and your son has met that if he has submitted his CA. Ordering the test scores today should be fine (applicants using the December test dates will also be fine), but in addition I recommend scanning his unofficial score report and submitting that - USC has traditionally used the unofficial score reports to consider applications for scholarships which they then verify when official reports come in.

Good luck.

Dear Alamemom,

Thank you so much!!!
When we ordered the SAT scores, there is a confirmation page generated by the college board for the scores. We’ll fax that file.

I will also be faxing in unofficial scores today for the deadline. What’s the etiquette of faxing them in? I’m assuming my common app ID should be written somewhere on them? Is there anything else that needs to be sent with the report?

Uploading a scanned copy to your USConnect would be the best method of submission. Unfortunately, I don’t have a USConnect account so I cannot advise on the specific procedure, though I know it exists. If someone explores USConnect and figures it out, post to let others know!

In the meantime, FAXing is fine - include name, UCS ID or Common App Id and date of birth. A brief note such as, “Unofficial scores for scholarship consideration. Official scores have been ordered…” should do the trick.

Good luck!!!
