When is USC Move In Day?

I was wondering when the move-in day is? Also, for any of you guys who have already been to orientation, about what time does it end on the second (and last) day of it?

Move-in day is on the 16th of August. The second day of orientation ends whenever you finish web registration, so times vary. I left around 3:30.

Thanks, retro. I appreciate it.

You're welcome. I'd suggest trying to plan out your schedule the night before so that when you register you're not spending a lot of time trying to figure out which sections you want-the process is just much quicker that way.

Hi, I know that orientation for international students starts on the 14th, but I'm going to arrive in LA on the 13th. Is it possible for me to move in on the 13th?

In regard to the second question:

The second day of orientation ends whenever you finish registering for classes, which can vary. Registration begins at 1:00, and I think most people were done by 3:00 (it did, however, take some people longer). After that, they don't have any scheduled commitments, but they did have optional stuff, like a tour of the row at 3:15.

Hope that helps.

Get to move-in day early. Lines will be shorter. Parking will be more available. If you are in New/North you're lucky because they are right next to parking garages.

And also--the sooner you move-in the quicker you will be able to get rid of your parents. LOL.

Any idea how early they're "opening up" the school? I was thinking about leaving home at 5 a.m. to beat traffic...so I should get there around 6ish.

Too early unless you don't mind standing around. Why don't you call the housing department and ask.

Okay, I will. Ehh, at least standing around at beautiful USC beats sitting around in LA traffic.
