All the schools im applying to have a deadline of march 1st. But is that the deadline to have the application in or have everything like transcripts and SATs in? Because im having trouble getting my high school transcripts in. I've been trying to get in contact with the transcript person at my high school for almost two weeks but i havent been able to. Finally i got to talk to her today and she told me that I cant do it over the phone becuase since I sent out more than three transcripts when I was a senior i need to pay for these that im sending out now. So im getting my parents to go on moday which will still be february 28th but I dont know when the school will send them and if they will be postmarked by the 1st.

what schools are you applying to?

Yea, getting the high school transcripts sent isn't easy. You just have to stay on them and then follow up by contacting the schools you applied to to see if they recevied everything. If you applied to UVA, you can check the status of your application online.

Im applying to Virginia tech, James Madison, and UNC. Im also applying to U of Miami and Ohio state but they already have my high school transcripts since I applied for the spring 2005 semester but then decided to stay at my school.

I'm applying to Tech, UVA and JMU also and I still haven't sent in the UVA application because I'm still working on the essay for #7.

WARNING: if you care about your academic environment at all, do not go to JMU!!! You may like it, but I have absolutely hated it here.

Whats so bad about JMU? I have alot of friends there who love it.

Dude, I said you may like it. I can't speak for you. And, I know people who love it also. All I mean is that many of the more academic people I know feel that it's academic environment is weak. I agree. Please, form your own opinions; it could be the perfect school for you. I just know that if your top priority is a strong academic program, you may be very diappointed with JMU. Best Regards.

2tiredofwaiting vehemently discourages us from going to JMU.
Then he "can't speak for us" and urges us to form our own opinions.

I was just giving you an opinion, my opinion, as someone who attends JMU. However, I also admit that some people like this school. I encourage you to find out for yourself. What's the problem? I never meant to control your personal decisions.
Look, I am really just trying to be helpful, not rude or pushy--sorry if I came across that way, clig. Good luck with your college search.

2tired,
Promise I won't jump your case for giving me the scoop (what you hate about it) on JMU. ;) If you'd rather send me a PM, please do so. Thanks!
