That would be the question. Like, on the app when you put the title, and then how long you were involved in it, etc., when I was first filling it out I was thinking, "Well, I've done theatre every year" so I just put the title as "Community theatre" and then clicked on every year.

Or do you say, "Show X" 10th grade, "Show Y" 10th grade, "Show Z" 11th?

I don't know. And I'm tired of typing my address and parent's occupation.

That repetative inputting of the same info over and over and over is something you just have to get used to - not just for college apps - but forever....
Anyway, it it typical to list titles, roles, and production companies. If you have too many try to pick out either the latest or the ones you were most proud of.

For the apps themselves, I don't think it's necessary to itemize all the individual productions under EC's. Instead, you can list "School Dramas and Musicals" or some such descriptor with the years. Then include a separate resume listing all of your performing experience. Most MT departments want that anyway. What we did was have a general resume with details of all EC's, honors, awards, activities etc that was submitted with each app and a performing arts resume that was submitted to the department at each audition.

I would second MichaelNKat's suggestion of, where appropriate, attaching a resume with the details of your involvement in theater and other extra curricular activities. I don't think there is room on most applications to list every production most theater kids have been in!

We understood the EC section to be an overview of all the different activities D had been involved with musical theatre being one, choir another, dance team yet another etc.; if there isn't a separate section for community service and leadership, I would also put this under EC.

I think that the different shows can/should be listed on a separate artistic resume, unless the online application specifically asks to detail theatrical experience. For some reason I seem to remember that some online applications did last year.
