do high schools and college count 90%+ as a 4? or just 93%+

when you guys calculate UW GPA, what scale do you use?

My high school was like this:

A=93+
B=85+
C=75+
D=70+ (Or 69+ depending on the teacher)
F=69 or 69 and below (Depending)

My UW and W are the same because I've taken no AP or honors.

UW GPA is usually on a 4.0 scale, but it is also on a 100-point scale often, and can be on any other scale as well (sometimes 5.0, sometimes 6.0, etc)

Schools do both percentage grades. 90% is an A at some schools, while 93% is an A at others.

thanks

I'm mostly wondering what weight is given to A- (90-92) and B+ (87-89)

if it's marked on your transcript as an A-, colleges consider it to be an A

if it's marked as a B+, colleges consider it a B

Most high schools that have A- and B+ subtract/add 1/3 of a point from 4.0/3.0. However, some high schools simply consider it to be an A or a B when calculating GPA.
