When RD Decision will be announced

<p>I think last year RD decision was released on March 8th.
Will 2014 be the same or it will be some date later.. March 7th is Friday.</p>

<p>It could be, but it also wouldn’t surprise me if it’s finally cycled back around & they release them on March 14th.</p>

<p>Back in 08 it was 3/14 too (which was also a friday) and has been creeping up on Fridays because that’s how calendars roll.
If nothing else, the pattern shows that they always release on a Friday.</p>

<p>That’s the guaranteed by date. My sister found out early March when she applied.</p>

<p>I hope it does move to March 27-April 1st. That will take care of those people who every year say they were wait listed or rejected because they were overqualified. When they see the same outcome from a bunch of other top schools on their list, they may realize that WashU admissions are like every other highly ranked institution.</p>

<p>Last year students kind of figure out on March 7th that decision will be out on March 8th. I hope its same this year too like March 7th Decision out, This wait is killing us since WUSTL is first choice for my Son.</p>

<p>I don’t get it. Why don’t they announce when decisions will come out? WashU is high on my ds’s list as well @dadfor2014. Are kids just supposed to check their portals each day beginning March 7th? </p>

<p>^Because if they announced a date, and then had to push it back for whatever reason (ie a server issue), they’d be receiving literally thousands of phone calls from angry kids and helicopter parents demanding to know why they haven’t heard yet. </p>

<p>When decisions are released, an email is sent out a few hours later letting you know they’re up. Or just wait for this board to explode - that’s usually a good indicator as well.</p>
