I'm currently interested in transferring to fordham CBA and I've just started my freshman year at a mediocre LAC in upstate new york. (Siena #114)

I'm fairly confident I would have got in as a freshman, my stats are competitive with their averages at least and I was pretty proud of my common app essay but I got real lazy with my applications last year and didn't even end up applying thinking I had no shot. I resigned myself to going here and I don't necessarily hate it here at siena, but I'm not a huge fan of the school, or the students, or the general environment and from what I gathered my junior year looking at schools fordham would be a much better fit for me.

I believe I'm still a competitive transfer student that's not where I'm concerned. I'm just not sure if I should apply now for the spring semester, or wait it out and apply for the fall semester. If I applied now I'd probably have my application in before my midterm grades (which unless something drastic changes will be 3.8-4.0) and I'm assuming I'd just forward those grades once they are in but I'd like my application in asap since admissions is rolling for transfers.

I'd like some opinions on applying for the spring semester as opposed to fall.. pro's and con's in case I'm not considering something and If i applied and got accepted for the spring semester am I allowed to defer until fall just in case ? and does anyone have any information on the rate of transferring to CBA? there general transfer acceptance rate seems high, but nyu's is around 30% while stern is much lower?

and out of curiosity what would my chances be of getting enough aid so that I would only need to pay in the 20k-30k range?
