I had my complete application turned In on October 5th my ACT is 29, my unweighted GPA is 3.8. And I’ve taken 2 AP classes minimum a year, along with this senior year taking AP physics, AP Chem, AP calculus BC…you get it a lot of challenging courses. I’m just getting anxious my brother who now is in CSE says he got his in November, should the same be said for myself? Also what is my % chance of being accepted if you had to muster a guess? I turned mine in on October 5th too, I just got accepted today. I’d say you have a pretty good shot at getting in.

I applied to University of Minnesota late October and have yet to receive an admissions decision. @Lucker did you get accepted yet?
I can’t give you an exact percentage, but I’d say your chances of getting in are better than being rejected. Good luck!

@hopefulandprayin Hi, did you get an admissions decision yet? I’m applying into CSE for Computer Science and University of Minnesota is my first choice of schools. I applied late October and your stats are very similar to mine.
Sadly no I haven’t heard back yet. On the upside I haven’t been declined yet

Do you have a lot of Honors and AP classes? That would give a higher weighted GPA. Do you have a weighted GPA?
I have a ton of AP classes, 2 a year minimum, senior year 5 AP classes, weighted of 4.03 GPA
@hopefulandprayin Your UW is 3.8 and your W is 4.03. Besides the AP classes you took, did you take honors classes for others or standard classes? Your two GPAs are so close that either there is hardly any weighting for AP or you took many AP and many standard classes, i.e. heavily weighted toward ends of the spectrum.
You probably are borderline. I got my decision in early October. I had a 32 ACT
