When should I get College Board to send my AP scores to the colleges I am applying? I self studied for all my APs and did not take AP classes. So I dont have AP classes to show in my transcripts and only can show the colleges my scores. But $15 per score report is really a lot for me. Plus, the 1st time I took Calculus AB, I got a 2 because I did not bringing a graphing calculator. The next year, I got a 5. So I have to spend another $10 to withhold a grade. So for each college I am applying, I have to spend $25. So I am short in cash. It is not enough self reporting the AP grades right? I must get CB to send in official grades before admissions make their decisions right? Please advice me guys.

ummm, i just self-reported the scores on all my applications; i will send in the "official" scores (sometime in april or may) only to the college i will actually attend this fall... maybe you could do the same?

p.s. colleges don't need the official AP scores to make an admissions decision...

Arachnophobia12,
Thanks for answering my question. They kept asking about send your official standardized scores, so I figured AP entered into tht category like SATs. Ughh, I hate all the money we have to pay CB to send our scores.

yeah, the only time you have to officially send your ap scores is when you are matriculating at a school.
