When should i send an interview thank you note?

I just finished my interview 30 mins ago, when should i send the thank you note? Should i send it now, or wait a few hours before sending?

I’d just send it the next morning. “Thank you for taking the time to meet with me yesterday…” blahblah. You don’t want it like, already in his inbox before he even gets home from the interview.

Anytime in the next 24 hours is fine. If you want to do it now then go for it.

My D once got a follow-up note from the interviewer before we even got home from campus!!!
