When should I send in my ACT/SAT scores for UCs?

Hi everyone,

I’m going to be a senior this coming school year and am planning on applying to UC Irvine, UC San Diego, UCR, UCLA.

So, as the title says, when should I send in my ACT/SAT scores? Is there a specific time period?

For example, is it during November 1st - 30th, the time when we have to submit our applications to the UCs? Or will UCs allow applicants to submit SAT/ACT scores after November 30th?

I’m pretty lost - I’m not sure if October, November, or even December can be my last time to retake the SAT.

November is the last testing date to get the results to the UCs in time for the deadline.

Freshman applicants for fall 2016 must arrange to have official score reports sent to them by December 2015.

If you have scores to send now, you certainly can.

If you already have your scores when you apply in November, you should just send your offical score report at that time. However, November is not the last test date for the UCs. They take through the Dec tests (see Report Test Results on this page http://admission.universityofcalifornia.edu/counselors/freshman/helping/ ). If you intend to submit the Dec test you are supposed to inform the UCs you are going to take that test on the application for admission. You need send scores to only one UC and all will get them, and particularly for the Dec test, you should designate one UC in your test registration as a college to automatically receive scores upon release (that results in fastest form of delivery).

Okay, thank you all for clearing that up!
