When should I send my transcripts?

I am a sophomore applying to transfer.

I was wondering what would be a good time to send my transcripts?

Someone told me I could wait until the beginning of Spring Semester in order to raise my GPA. It seems kinda like a late time to me though. Right now, I can round off my GPA to a 3.8 and by that time (Spring) the best I can get is probably a 3.9. Is it worth the wait?

Also, I’m trying to major in Creative Writing but the first class I could take for it wasn’t until this semester. So, if I send my transcripts from last year will it look bad that I haven’t taken any Creative Writing classes? As opposed to sending it later, a Creative Writing class would be shown for this fall semester.

Sorry for the extra posts too if you’ve been seeing this around. My computer messed up and posted it a few times.

Don’t send them until you’re accepted by the school, they’ll notify you then.

I’m sorry but how would I be accepted without my transcript? I mean, all my transfer schools count the transcript as part of the application process. I need to submit it in order to have applied at all.

Ok, what I thought you meant was sending in your transcripts in general in the spring time with all the fall grades, which you don’t. You’ll only send them in once they’ve accepted you. They’ll accept those transcripts with spring grades between the time after you finish your semester) to around July. From what I know, the grades you post are just from your input, yes they will run it through to check but an actual transcript isn’t needed until they ask you to.

No, I’m saying most colleges ask you for transcripts as part of the application process. Many time, that is the item that even gets your file started. Can I ask where your from? I only know one school that has done it the way you’re suggesting, although I’m sure there are a few others.
