<p>Ds did his after hitting the button on the first round of apps. He didn’t want to tie it to actually getting in because the point of the thank-you is that they went to the effort of writing the letter, not that it yielded the desired results. Does that make sense? He’ll let them know as acceptances come rolling in (we hope!).</p>
<p>My daughter is doing the same. As soon as she hears that the recommendation has been sent, she will send a thank-you, but not before. And I wouldn’t wait until the end of the year either.</p>
