<p>I am an incoming freshman with a computer science major. I was wondering when I should begin to apply for internships. I obviously need to learn some basics of CS and programming before I can apply, but should I even apply for internships during freshman year? Thanks for any replies in advance. </p>
<p>Your university might provide some internships in-house, and the school’s career center, along with the computer science department, can give you some pointers as to where to start. </p>
<p>At my school most students apply for CS internships during September-March, but mainly in the fall. I’m not really sure how hard it is for freshmen to get an internship, but it is possible and definitely depends on the company.</p>
