When should I start studying for the bar exams?

You are a sophomore in high school. That means you’re not even in the ballpark, much less qualified to call balls and strikes against the likes of bluedevilmike, razorsharp, greybeard and others on this board.

This is the internet. That means you’re not even in the ballpark, much less justified to believing with such certainty that bluedevilmike, razorsharp, greybeard or others on this board are actual authoritative sources in the noninternet realm on this subject, nor that I am indeed a sophomore in highschool (unless you’re psychic or something).

I am, in fact, in 8th grade.

There was a famous cartoon in the New York a few years back that featured a dog saying, “On the internet, no one knows that you’re a dog.”

That’s not exactly true. Every time a writer posts a message, s/he reveals something of the writer’s self, through syntax, vocabulary, spelling, and punctuation. People who have been posting a long time at a particular site can develop a reputation there for consistency, erudition, or trustworthiness. Conversely, a reputation for petulance, intemperance in expression, or making bogus claims about age or experience can be established in very short order.

One of the strengths of this site is that if you click on the online “names” of members, you can read their previous postings, and come to reasonable conclusions about the trustworthiness of their assertions.
