When Should I Start Submitting This Stuff?

I'm applying for transfer admission to several schools for the Fall '12 semester. Two of the schools I'm applying to (Vanderbilt and UNC-Chapel HIll) require the following:

Common Application
Supplemental Application
SAT/ACT Scores
College Transcript
High School Transcript
Secondary School/College Official's Report
Professor LORs
FAFSA
(CSS) Financial Aid PROFILE

Anyway, I'm a little unsure as to when I should start submitting this stuff. Obviously, the Common and Supplemental Apps need to be submitted before each school's deadline (March 1st for both). But when is it advisable to send the rest? Can I go ahead and submit my ACT scores? Should I complete the FAFSA and PROFILE now, or wait?

Sorry if these sound like silly questions. I've never actually had to apply for admissions before. At my current university, I literally just walked in, showed them my transcript and ACT score, and was admitted.

If you aren’t planning to do any more testing before the deadline, you can send ACT Score Reports any time, colleges will hold on to them and match them with the rest of your application.

Your HS transcript and SSR can be sent anytime.

Your college transcript and CO report can be sent as soon as your fall grades are on your transcript.

You should be asking for Instructor LORs now to give your profs a couple of months notice.

Look at the college websites for FAFSA and Profile deadlines for transfers, if not listed, call the colleges. You can complete them both now, but will have to resubmit the FAFSA and send corrections of the Profile after your taxes are completed. Do be sure to file both at least with estimates before the deadlines, as you want to have a placeholder for you even if it’s not final numbers.

Thanks alot entomom!
