when should I start worrying?

I gave my sat 2 in December and made collegeboard send it automatically to mit when my scores are available. however my mit dashboard does not have a tick mark with the testing requirements. How long should I wait before emailing them?

You never have to worry. If MIT is missing anything from your file, they will let you know and will give you time to resend. You can also find out when they are expected to be received and give MIT about 2 weeks to process the scores and get them entered into your file. After 2 weeks you can try calling the admissions office.

I think it’s worth mentioning, also, that it’s possible nobody has been in at the admissions office this week, other than possibly Monday. Tuesday and Wednesday were holidays, and there’s been a big snow storm affecting Boston yesterday and today – I know Harvard closed at 2pm yesterday, and MIT might have done the same. And nobody’s open today.

ok thank you so much guys!

My SAT scores arrived very quickly, but it took exactly a month for my TOEFL score to show up on MyMIT. Don’t worry.

I still shouldnt worry? No update to my application portal

I would call and check since it’s been a while (since December.)

There is no reason to worry. Admissions will contact you if anything is missing and will give you time to resend. And you can always call their office. The people answering calls in the MIT admissions office are amazingly helpful despite the fact that they probably get tons of calls a day from worried applicants.

Hey there guys,
So I had posted all of my application materials together : Evaluation A and B, School Report and Transcripts and the Fee Waiver Request. Everything except Evaluation B got processed on 15th Jan. The tick mark has not yet appeared on my Evaluation B. Should I wait some more for it to get processed? Is this or is this not unusual?
Thanks!

Not unusual – the different components are separated before being entered into the system. So even if your materials were mailed together, they won’t necessarily be checked off in the online system at the same time.

Thanks mollie. Will keep an eye out for that check mark.
Also, how do I confirm if the supplemental rec has been received? I am an international applicant, so is it fine to e-mail and confirm?

Yippee. The other evaluation letter has also been processed. Just the FUN form to go!
