When should I stop expecting interview e-mails?

I applied to a smattering of prestigious schools, including a few Ivies, so naturally I expected to be contacted for several interviews, even if one or two schools were swamped in my area. However, as of now I have only been contacted for one interview, and that didn't really go so well (<a href="http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/college-admissions/1069664-four-hour-alumni-interview.html%5B/url%5D">http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/college-admissions/1069664-four-hour-alumni-interview.html</a>). At what point should I stop checking my inbox for more interview offers?

Bump. Still no more interview offers…

I would wait until at least the middle of February or early March. I had my Columbia interview yesterday and he told me that they had to get their evaluations in by February 24th or somewhere around there. The Johns Hopkins interviewer said something about late February too. I did UChicago early action and my interview was literally two days before the deadline to turn in interview evaluations. I think the interview deadline varies from school to school.

Either way, unless you’re the one requesting the interview, there’s not much you can do other than to relax and enjoy the rest of senior year. If you don’t get contacted for an interview, it’s not going to kill your chances. Interviews are only a small portion of the process. My Columbia interviewer was really frank with me and said that while the admissions committee reads the evaluation, it’s not going to be that big of a factor (though it might depend on the school).
