I got a 2190 on my march SAT (700 reading 730 writing 760 Math). I plan on taking it again... I don't know if I can take it in May, because that seems so soon, but I need to take it before the end of the school year. I also have to take the US history SAT II sometime soon... When should I take these tests? Is the SAT US history that much different than the multiple choice of AP US history test? (if so, I can take THAT in may)

The SAT II U.S. history test is essentially identical to the multiple choice portion of the AP U.S. history test. If you're doing well in AP U.S. history, it would be a good idea to take this SAT II in May or June.

take subject tests right after you finish their respective courses at school

I'd take the SAT II US history test in May... that way you only have to study once. And yes, I concur with Marian... the multiple choice section of the AP and the SAT II are virtually the same. I took the US History SAT II last May and found that there were several questions that were EXACTLY the same as ones on the AP that I'd taken the day before.

bump.........

You can take it in May or June. June gives you a bit of time to prepare for the SAT II, while May you are prepping for the AP test. Also, if you have to take multiple SAT II tests, it will lighten the load. You may get dizzy with 3 SAT II tests in a row.

so should I take it in May, because I'm already studying for the AP test?

May is probably best. You do not need to study separately for the SAT II U.S. History test. The preparation that you're doing for the AP test is really all you need.

However, if you have a conflict with the May test date and have to take the test in June, that should be OK, too.
