When should I take the SAT I?

Currently I'm a US citizen living in Australia (I moved here after my freshman year). I know most Americans take the SAT for the first time in the spring of their junior years. I'm in my junior year right now, but the seasons are backwards here (school year goes from February - December). Should I take the SAT I this June or should I wait until it's spring (October-ish) over here? I'm getting around 2200 on my practice tests right now but I'm shooting for > 2300. Also, I'll be applying for college in the US so that I start on fall semester, 2014.

Thanks!

Take it whenever you’re ready. Regardless of when you take it, be sure to take the SAT (as well as subject tests, if required) on or before the last testing date that the college accepts. For example, a college might say that the November testing date is the last date for freshmen applicants, so be sure to take it on or before that date.
