Hey everybody, I’m in 8th grade and taking Algebra 2 (don’t worry i’m not on this site much, trying not to stress about college while I still can), so I’ll be taking Pre-Calc in 9th grade, and AP Calculus BC as a sophomore. I’ve heard that you should take the Math 2 once you’ve finished pre-calc, but I’d only be a freshman and I’m worried I wouldn’t know enough. Would that be too early? What would be the ideal time to take it? As a junior and senior I’ll be taking some combination of Multivariable calc, diff equations, and number theory.
You heard correctly.
No. I took it at the end of 8th grade. It tests the material, not your age. If you’ve taken pre-calc, you should be prepared.
I took Math II in the fall of my senior year, well after taking pre-calc (I took pre-calc in 9th grade). If you take it after pre-calculus and when the material is fresh in your mind, you should be fine.
@Crouton1262803 I know you said you’re not on here much, but you really shouldn’t be using this site at all. Enjoy being an 8th grader while you can.
