When should I take these Dual Enrollment classes?

Course selections for my dual enrollment classes are due VERY soon. The problem is that I don’t know when to take them, and am not sure if I should take DE English. I am planning to take these classes in the summer and fall, as the spring semester is pretty busy for me.

These are the classes I am considering taking:
DE English
DE Art History
DE Government

In the summer, I am for sure taking DE Art History for my art credit. I just simply don’t have enough time to take it during the school year, as I don’t have as many periods as most because of being in a STEM program. I am not sure if I should take DE government over the summer as well, or if I should just wait to take it during the school year.

I may also want to take DE English during the school year, but am unsure if my workload is to much. If I take DE English, I will for sure take DE government during the summer. Here’s what I’m taking during the school year:

-Spanish 3
-Engineering/STEM English (One period but class alternates every other day, and I cannot take honors/AP level in English because I have to take the STEM one)
-Honors Chemistry
-Honors Pre-Calc
-AP Physics 1
-AP Computer Science A

I am only going to take one/two camps this summer, so that will not take a huge chunk of my time. I WILL be studying for the ACT, however.

Since I am planning on being an engineering and math double major, I need to do really well in these courses, which is why I am worried about time commitment. With the above schedule, what would you suggest?

Bump, I need to know by early May!!!

Talk to your GC.

Are you a junior or a senior?
I would take art history and government over the summer, because that’s a pretty heavy schedule. Then add DE English during the spring semester if you’re a senior , or summer after junior year if you’re a junior.

@MYOS1634 I’m going to be a junior. Thanks, I will look into this. I want to get good grades because engineering majors are hard and I can’t risk the bad GPA.
