I would really like to know please

Usually schools stop caring about your high school after you have 30 credits (varies by school) under your belt. This means at the time of application you should already have completed the credits required. Depending on when you complete them and when you want to matriculate will usually dictate when to apply.

It can be a numbers game, for example, some schools only offer financial aid to fall transfers, some schools have higher admit rates for spring transfers, priority vs regular dates, etc. It’s best to look up a potential transfer destination’s policies and ask lingering questions directly to admissions, face to face if you’re able.

More to your question, unless you’re going for a spring transfer, if you are applying sophomore year, you can usually wait to apply after you get your fall grades back. Most school’s transfer deadlines are after the fall semester and hopefully having another semester’s worth of credits completed will bolster your application.

Great! Thank you! :)

Interesting-- I had the same question. Would anyone suggest transferring prior to the end of sophomore year? I was thinking about transferring after obtaining 30 credits (end of freshman year)…
