when should I transfer to emory?

hey, i have a question about transferring to emory.
if i apply for fall 2008, do administrators in emory look at grades that i obtain in spring 2008. Since i am doing horrible this semester, i am gonna boost up my GPA in spring. If they don't look at spring grades, i am planning to apply for spring 2009
so, some feedbacks?

this semester: 12 credits
spring 2008: 15 credits
one AP (US Histroy): which is considered as 3 credits
total: 30 credits in freshman year

possbility:
fall 2008: 14 credits

my stat;
high school
V 600, M 800, W 620
GPA 3.7~3.8
few clubs, orchestera, awrards, and work experience.

good reason to transfer to emory.
i go GA Tech, but I want to stduy history/econ. So I am going to write how i can purse my study in the tech school.

Thanks,

It appears that they will look at your spring semester grades. The Spring 08 transfers had to submit their current fall 07 grades before a decision was made.

I heard emory accepts more men.
Is is true? if it is so, what is the rate?
I am a male...hehe

oh and,
is 3.2 College GPA ok for emory?

Look at the Common Data Set for Emory - you should be able to find it on their web site. Yes, they do admit a higher rate of males. Search this forum and the Emory forum for transfers to see the stats of the admitted transfers over the last several years.

You should probably wait until you have at least 30 credit hours and a 3.4 gpa

the average gpa of admitted students to Emory is a 3.5/3.6 to be a competitive candidate.
