Just wondering if NYU mails them all at the end of March, or if we should expect a few waves of acceptances over the next month?

RD is late March to April 1

LSP is earlier.

My cousin got LSP yesterday (lives 30 minutes from NYU).

Do transfer students find out the same time as other students?

@nufo

i found out the same week that ED applicants found out, second week of december, which killed me because it brought back horrible memories of being rejected ED, hahaha.

anyway, the website says May? but that seems really late.

[NYU > Undergraduate Admissions > Applying for Admission > Transfer Applicants > Important Dates](<a href=“How to Apply”>How to Apply)

Missamericanpie – you are such a valuable resource to this board, thank you! And actually, mid-May sounds about right then because the deadline is April 1st. You’d figure that they have to review all the transfer applications and let everyone know at the same time, right?

What if you applied to CAS and got deffered to LSP, do you get your acceptance the same time LSP people get it or do you get denied from CAS in april and then deffered to LSP.

With LSP here’s how it works: Sometime between late Febuary and Mid-March you get a really thick packet. It includes a bunch of info on LSP and a letter that basically says, “You were rejected from CAS…but that is okay because we’re letting you into LSP. If you still would consider NYU, even with LSP, please respond online and we’ll send you an actual admissions letter.” I requested my official letter, but I assume that we get those around the same time as everyone else.

I’m ****ed that as a transfer student I gotta wait til mid-May to find out. If I got it in before the deadline they should let my ass know with the RD kids.

you’re transferring for fall, right? it probably has to do with department quotas, wanting to see how many new media students they’re getting from RD before they start filling the gaps with transfer students.
